My Story

I am a young queer woman navigating a world that constantly challenges and represses women from an early age. I came out as bisexual the summer after my freshman year at Gonzaga University. As I was dealing with accepting myself I was misdiagnosed with anxiety and depression. It wasn’t until after college that I was properly diagnosed with bipolar II disorder. Although being bipolar has so many stigmas and misconceptions, I began to get a better understanding of myself and the things I struggle with. I have had the great privilege of traveling the world, venturing places such as New York, Dublin, Galway, Belfast, Paris, and London. Ireland was the most transformative time of my life and it was Dublin that unlocked a new voice that was ready to reach out to anyone struggling with mental health, queerness, or simply being a woman in todays world. Writing and art are my main passions in life. My work is a reminder that in the vast landscape of life, emotions, and struggles, we aren’t alone.
